Teaching begins annually in the August or beginning of September (unless informed differently).
There are 15 lessons in the fall and 15 lessons in the spring semesters + concerts.
The application and resignation processes are always done in writing by email, or mail. Cancellations should be done at least a week before the start of the term.
Music school teaching begins automatically, so a new application does not need to be filled out after the end of the teaching year. We will not refund students who drop out mid term.
If the teacher is absent from a lesson, for example due to sickness, another lesson will be provided to replace the cancelled one. If the student is absent, the lesson will not be replaced.
Private lessons are provided by professional teachers with music degrees, in either Finnish or English.
The instrument teacher is in charge of the content of the teaching.
Participation in the concerts and other events is voluntary and will be supported if needed.
The music school student is in charge of their participation in the teaching. Students must be punctual. If the student arrives early there is no supervision available.
The music school is an extracurricular activity and hobby. Music teaching takes place after school.
Each student needs their own instrument for practicing purposes. Instrument teachers will advice students on purchasing their own instrument and age relating questions. We will also provide rental instruments if needed.
