These skills include learning to read notes and other tools needed for associating with music. You can also bring your own instrument to the lessons and with the aid of it learn scales, tones, and rhythms. Your instrument teacher will recommend attending musical skills classes, because then your lesson will not be wasted on learning to read the notes. You will also meet other students in these lessons, who you will play together with or perhaps compose new pieces with.
An ideal age to begin these lessons at is 10–14 years or after you have been studying music for a few years.
In the general knowledge of music lessons we will review the history of music and the different styles. This will be done with the help of sound clips, and is intended for those who have completed the beginner’s courses 1/3 – 3/3.
